But instead, what have I been doing? I've been reading blogs AND going through old photos! Hahhaaha...

My gosh.. looking at all the photos made me realise how fast time flies! My three years in this beautiful city is soon coming to an end! How I dread it! Whilst looking at the photos, I thought of the times we all met, the times we bonded, the times we argued, the laughter, the joy, the tears.. gosh, how I'm going to miss waking up and picking up the phone and knowing that you're all here... how I can knock on the doors next to my room when I need to rant and de-stress! Some of us have grown closer, some more distant.. some I dont even see you at all.. but deep down, I know we are all friends.. for better for worse, we still care for one another, and thats exactly what friendships are all about, no? :D

March has come and gone with heaps of birthdays, gatherings and much love.. :)

We had a combined birthday celebrations for all those born in March in the group, namely, My dear housemate, Vocan; the citizen,Keith; the temporary resident, Abhishek; and the Clayton boys, Jin and Josh. We had it at MyCube on Lygon street. Was pretty fun, but I reckon the group was a tad bit too big. hehehe..

Then, there was Vocan's birthday at home, Keith's at Crown and Abhishek's at Seven. :)

Plusss.. there was Urban Life at my place last night.

Sooorrryyyyyyy people for not updating for sooooooo long now! :s

I know.. I know.. It's been a tad bit tooo long, aye? hahaha.. many months have come and past! We have entered a whole new year and summer's gone!!!! Uni's just starting to get busy right now.. friends are all back here at Melbourne which is fantastic! :D

To be very honest, I sort of gave up on this blog last year. Hahaha.. I didn't see much point of blogging anymore. Maybe life just got a bit too boring altogether. :P

Many of you may wonder, why am I blogging again?
Well, the answer, because blogging is my method of sharing with all of you. And today, I have something to share. :)

Often, I ponder, what makes one a friend to the next person?
The dictionary definition of the word, friend says this:

friend |frend|
noun
a person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically exclusive of sexual or family relations.

My definition:

friend = a person who cares for you regardless of any situation, one who is there for you in good times and bad. One who shares with you your joy and your sorrows, one who supports and encourages you every inch of the way.

I thought about this today because of a friend. I don't really know this friend very well. But through my hardships last year, this friend has always been there to encourage. I never gave it a second thought all these while, but bumping into him made me realise how blessed I am to have so many that sincerely care about me.

Friend, you do not know how much it meant to me just now, when you told me you knew I could do it. Especially when you said to me, " I am so proud of you". :) Well, dear friend, I am very proud of you too! You have gone very far, and I know and I believe that you too will reach for the stars and achieve your goals for as long as you believe in yourself! :) Thank you, dear friend!

To all my friends, wherever you are, especially the ones who are here with me in Melbourne (you know who you are), thank you so much for everything you have done for me! Thank you for all the memories we share, be it the good ones, or the bad ones! :P We have all partially changed for the better due to the influence of one another. My heart aches at the thought that we are all graduating so soon! Three years are coming to an end so quickly! How I wish I had a remote control like in the movie, Click that allows me to pause time or rewind time to the beggining of the three years all over again! I know that God put each and everyone of you into my life for a reason. And I thank Him and praise Him everyday for each of your presence! You all mean a lot to me! Thank you for everything! :)

What did I do? You may ask.. ehehehehe.. last night I attended a gathering/party at a friend's place.. Must say it was fantastic seeing almost everyone.. :) It's been wayyyy too long..

Remember those days when we would see each other everyday WITHOUT fail? and now, we see each other once in a few months or when it's one of our birthdays.. I just want you guys to know that you guys are the BEST! Thanks for making life in Melbourne such a joy! :)

It's been three months since my last post.. I am terribly sorrryyy.. I have been caught up with heaps of stufff.. :s But all and all, everything has been great thus far. Spent approximately three weeks at home.. been back in Aussie land since Mid July.. will be heading home again in two more months.. hahaha.. fast eh? :D

Hey people!! I am back from PlanetUni camp!!!! It was awesome!!!! But have no idea why I didnt take much photos.. hehehe.. it was my birthday last weekend.. and frens threw me a beautiful birthday dinner at Statalacities ( I think that's what it's called ).. This Greek restaurant on Russell Street.. was fantastic.. I was reading a friend's blog the other day.. when I read what he wrote.. I was surprised with what he wrote.. I started to think.. How is it that a guy so composed, so sure of himself, so serious, so caring, so happy at all times was actually hiding his emotions behind that mask? He made me realise that no one is perfect no matter how circumstances might suggest so.. There are ups and downs in everyone's lives.. it's the way we approach them that makes us that unique individuals we all are.. Life's biggest challenge is not to out win the next person.. not to prove to the world that you can do it.. but it's to prove to YOURSELF that you can do it.. that you are worthwhile.. no one can pull anyone out of their despair.. only they themselves can..

Friend, although I do not know you well.. but you are a strong person.. that much of your character I can say.. and for that I am sure you will pull through.. By God's Grace, everything will be better for you in this new year.. :) I am glad to see you smile again..

First.. sorry for the lack of updates.. tonnes of things have been happening over the last one month.. but all's good.. :)

Cindy's latest post made me start thinking about how important friends are in all of our lives.. that inevitable role they play in our lives.. some frens are meant to be hi bye frens.. yet some frens are lifelong frens.. I'm very confident and fortunate to say that I have many frens of the latter category.

Sunway has without a doubt gave me the best 18 months of my life.. No doubt we had our differences, we had our fair share of misunderstandings and arguements.. We were still family.. Do you guys remember our family tree? Hahaha.. I miss the gatherings we had at 08-02.. I miss my room in apartment 19-3A!! I miss the late night UNO sessions.. the throwing of people into the swimming pool during their birthdays! :) You guys have played such a great part in my life.. and I constantly still think and miss you all greatly.. but I know when we meet.. we will never be strangers.. we wont look at each other and treat each other differently just because of our professions.. some of us will be doctors, some lawyers, accountants and some businesspeople.. but whatever it is.. I'm grateful for one thing.. like how cindy put it.. I'm grateful that our lives crossed paths once.. and because of that one fact.. we will always remain part of one another's lives.. :) We can sit down ten years from today.. and say "yeah.. sunway was wonderful! It was one of the best times ever.. and we went through it TOGETHER!"

When I started yet this new chapter here in Melbourne.. I often had a habit of comparing my new frens here with those I have back home.. that sense of being lost.. I wanted to be in familiar surroundings again... but times have changed.. As much as I miss you all.. I have learned not to compare anymore... I'm grateful for every single friend I have here in Melbourne.. I'm grateful that in this short period of time.. we have all been here for one another... we have been yet another family.. Likewise, with all of our differences.. we're all sticking together.. creating new memories of our own.. :) Every single one of you mean a lot to me.. and you guys are all part of my past, my present and my future.. :) Having everyone in my life has been a true blessing! Us knowing one another has never been a coincidence... God has meant for it to happen.. We are placed into one another's lives for a purpose.. :) and for that I thank Him greatly.. for I can never ask for anyone better than any of you!

Harlow everyone! How are you all doing????? Soooooo super sorry for the lack of updates! Hope all's well with everyone! :)

2008 did NOT start out right for me.. :s Despite all the ups and downs.. everything's finally falling into place now.. Things that I least expected have all happened.. I know I did not take it well and I could have done soooo much better.. but I just want to say a BIG BIG BIG thank you to everyone, especially to my parents and close frens( u guys know who you are) for being there.. To have you guys in my life is a wonderful blessing by itself.. :) Will update again soon! :)

The cruelty of Life

These recent months have been months of mourning for a number of people i know.. It is sad when a loved one leaves us so unexpectedly.. if the demised has been suffering from an illness of some sort, then yes.. maybe death would be the best way to end things.. but yet again this is completely different when the demise is young, intelligent and with a bright future ahead.. this thus leads me to my dear fren, chung lern's recent loss.. His young, beautiful and extremely intelligent girlfriend recently passed away because of a bus accident that I am very sure most of us must have heard of.. Nian Ning, beautiful young girl who had everything in her hands passed away on the 28th of January 2008. How did this happen? Because one reckless bus driver who has 13 summons against him was still allowed on the road.. He caused not only Nian Ning's life.. but also the lives of two other young passengers.. How cruel can life get? because of one person's recklessness.. one company's stupid decision to not do anything about such a reckless employee.. THREE young lives have been sacrificed.. God knows how many more will be sacrificed if this action does not stop now! I urge all of you who read this.. please.. please sign the PETITION . This petition will be sent to the Minister of Transportation Malaysia after the Chinese New Year.. Please do sign it.. your signature will make a world of difference.. I urge you here not as a friend to the demise's loved one.. but I urge you here.. as a student, as a Malaysian and most importantly as a human being.. all lives are very valuable.. they are priceless.. and such recklessness in Malaysia must STOP! If you value your life, and of those that you love.. please.. spend a minute, sign this petition.. it would make a world of difference in the transportation services in Malaysia.. For your own good.. and for everyone else's as well..

It was an extremely good match! One of the best I have ever seen I must say.. It was the Australian Open 2008 Men's Finals.. It was between Novak Djokovic and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. These two young players must have shocked the world when they qualified for the finals.. Well, at least they shocked me.. who would have though that both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal would have lost to these two young blokes? Yet again.. tonight's game was intense.. history was made tonight.. definitely.. must have been one of the best matches ever.. both players were extremely quick... leaving their opponents with no time to think about their next move.. this game was played purely based on their instincts due to the speed used tonight.. none the less, it was an excellent game.. especially that moment of victory on Djovokic's face.. You could tell that he did not expect to win that way.. that one foul ball from Tsonga delivered Djokovic his victory.. Good game.. good game indeed.. :)

A random topic, a random title isnt it? I stand firmly on my point and still think that men and women are just two entirely different beings.. What seems stupid or unsensible to a man may seem to be the sweetest thing ever to a woman.. it just proves how different the two mindsets are.. heheh... anyways, like what i said this is a completely random post. I've been thinking lots of the old times.. hahaha.. the times in sunway.. the times back home.. last year when i came.. everything has been soooo wonderful.. i have been extremely blessed to have all of you in my life.. I miss you all soooo much!

At lunch, Keith, vocan and I were talking about our first year here.. how lots of us met during classes together.. it just hit me that with all the different majors we're all going to take this coming new year.. are we all still going to be as close as we used to be? Will we still have sooooo much to talk about? will we still be able to share all our likes and dislikes about our tutors? are we still able to joke about all the funny incidents in class? Will we still meet up just to study in the library? Are we still going to spend endless sleepless nights trying to finish our assignments together? OR are we all going to be strangers? How would it be?

What do we look for in a person? You know how people always talk about looking for that one person who is kind, sweet, caring, funny etc... is tat enough? Really.. wat are we all looking for? Definitely we want tat person to be sweet and attentive.. yet is that enough? I think being intelligent.. having a good sense of humour.. bold.. fun loving yet serious at the same time.. these are extremely wonderful add ons in one's character.. hehehe.. yet among the guys i do know.. hahaha.. i think the ones who do have these in their character.. there's just merely a handful.. hehehe.. and to name one of them.. WILSON YEO!!! hahaha.. now, dont say i dont heart you, ah fren! hahhaa.. I missing you and the rest 3 million rivers lo! hahaha.. and i'm still going to go up to whoever the girl is in the future and tell her.. "wei, u know how lucky you ah or not?" :P

As i sit here and type this, I have the song "God of Miracles" playing in the background.. ten thousand things are playing through my head right now... Life is sooooo unpredictable.. We'll never know what would happen tomorrow.. Do you remember the times when all of us would just say " no, i'll do that tomorrow" or " no, it's alright.. i let this chance slip by.. another one's bound to come my way tomorrow" or most importantly, when we have an arguement with our family and frens.. what do we say ALL the time? " it's not my fault.. why should i apologise?" and because of that one thought in your head.. siblings may start not talking to one another.. frens become enemies.. is it worth it? Is life that worthless for you guys to play such games? Often.. people only tend to regret their decisions when they've lost their love ones.. I'm not talking about anyone here in particular.. but i'm talking about how people react to tonnes of relationship matters in general.

You all must be wondering what made me think about all these things. In the span of two years.. two very close frens of mine have both suddenly lost their fathers.. I'm still at shock that it has happened.. I'm shocked and scared at the same time.. I'm sorry for my frens.. but i cant help but to imagine how MY life would be if it were to happen to me.. I'll be shattered.. I cant imagine and I dont wanna think about it.. All i can say is tat, cherish the moments we all have with our families and frens.. never let an opportunity slip your way.. if there are broken relationships, mend them.. before it's too late..

To my frens, I'm sorry.. I'm very very proud of you guys for being sooo strong.. everything in life is planned by the God Almighty.. be glad that your fathers have been with you for these 20 odd years of your life.. that he played such a major role.. and how he will always remain in your hearts forever.. You guys will always be kept in prayers.. Take good care of yourselves!

Do you remember the when we were kids in kindy.. going to the cultural village together and swimming lessons too?
Do you remember the times in primary school when we would just run around the school with no care in the world?
Do you remember the fights we all used to have in high school when we were prefects, class monitors and club presidents?
Do you remember the times when we would all just sit around and gossip instead of listening to Mr.Lee at Sri Sarjana?
Do you remember all the wonderful times we had at A8-02?
Do you remember our family tree?
Do you remember when someone was sick.. we were all sooo worried and finally came back together as one.. like a family.. like how we have always been?
Do you remember all the birthdays? All the Laughter? All the tears?
Do you remember the times we would all talk about our relationships? the advices we used to give one another.. the good.. the bad.. the support.. the feeling and acknowledgement that we would always be by one another's side always?

Time has gone by so quickly.. in a flash.. 21 years of my life has gone by.. I ask myself.. what have i done? what have i accomplished? Well.. one of the greates joy would be to have all these wonderful people in my life.. I miss you all dearly.. I wish you guys are with me here now.. none the less.. i'll see some of you soon.. the rest.. we shall meet during winter break! :) Hugz!

My own Jolly Christmas break.. 2007

What comes to mind when one talks about christmas? Snow? Skiing? Santa? Presents? To me.. Christmas is all about spending time with people who matter the most to you.. your loved ones.. Christmas isnt about being in a cold country and going through a white christmas.. it means being with your family.. even if you're in a desert...

For me.. 2007's Christmas was one of the best I've ever had.. It was no white Christmas.. but it was fun.. :D Christmas came very early for me last year.. hehehe.. I guess going home has always been on my mind ever since I came to Melbourne last Feb.. Thus.. to me.. going home for the whole month of December was a fabulous Christmas present by itself.. :)

All started with me arriving home.. seeing my family.. going off to KL with mom for the weekend.. seeing my aunt who is there now.. spending Christmas eve with the whole extended family.. going to church on Christmas day with Cindy.. spending New year's eve with my closest frens.. Welcomed the new year by celebrating my parents' 22nd Anniversary.. Seeing my grandpa.. Spending time with my cousins.. :D

Everything went soooo well.. I wished time will just stand still.. But good times always fly by soooo quickly.. :s Am back in Melb now.. not tat I dont wanna be back.. but i wished more than ever to be home again.. :( Never mind.. shall be going to Perth on the 31st.. will be spending the week with aunt and her family.. celebrating CNY.. will be back in time for my parents' arrival to melb.. hehehe... :D

I'm soooo sorry for not having to post anything recently.. it's been such a busy month.. was at home.. hehehe.. it was awesome.. will be heading home again this winter.. thus people.. do not need to miss me too much.. hehehe.. :P

Now now.. a year has gone by and a new year has come along.. haha.. time flies doesnt it? What do i think about all this? Read on and you shall find out.. hehehe.. :P

2007... how should i describe it? It has definitely been one of the best years in my life.. yet at the same time one of the unpleasant ones too.. hahha.. soo many things happened in the short span of a year..

The highlight of the whole year would be me coming to Melbourne for my first year..

In 2007, I went without seeing my parents for ten months.. hahaha.. record breaking eh? hahaha.. In feb, I came to monash.. caufield campus.. and did not go home till christmas.. hehehe..

In 2007, I started going to church.. i accepted Christ.. I started to be more positive.. believing that He had already planned everyone's life.. that good things will always happen.. for God so love us.. :)

In 2007, I met lots of frens.. some frens became very close frens.. yet some frens.. started to drift away after a while... I went through a roller coaster ride of emotions.. of something I tot was there.. but i guess.. never was..

In 2007, I spent one of the best winters of my life.. i spent quality time with my cousins and their kids.. cousins growing closer.. caring more for one another.. :)

In 2007, I started to finally really appreciate the importance of family and how absolutely bless I am to have them.. for without them.. I would never be who I am today.. :)

The good the bad.. all has passed.. I will always cherish the wonderful moments I've had in 2007.. I shall learn from the bad experiences and move on.. :)

For 2008, I vow to be a more caring daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin and aunt.. :)

For 2008, I vow to be a more faithful Christian.. and follow His plans for me.. :)

For 2008, I vow to be a better student.. Achieve my own educational goals..

For 2008, I vow to try get an internship in a desired firm..

for 2008, I vow to finish my assignments AT LEAST two (or maybe one :P) days before the due date.

For 2008, I vow to not think of any uselss or hopeless ideas which were never meant to be...

Living life according to God's Grace is to live life according to what we have been called to be.. some of us maybe called to be leaders.. some of us maybe called to be politicians.. some of us maybe called to be in the medical support team.. some of us might be called to be in the arm force.. God has a plan for everybody.. and it is all up to us to live life according to the grace given by Him..

I was amazed by what Pastor Russell shared in church today.. it wasnt about what he said.. I was at awe that God knows every single one of us.. He is there to see us through the day.. that He knew us, before we know ourselves.. He has planned our lives ahead of us.. At times.. when life just seems down.. God is up to something.. He is at the other end.. making miracles happen when you need them the most.. When you are DOWN to nothing..God is UP to something! Faith sees the invisible, believes the incredible and receives the impossible!!

While watching no reservations with Chloe tonight, her friend sent her a video that I want to share with everyone.. it's really worth the watch.. :)

1st November 1987 called for a great celebration in heaven.. for it was the birth of one of the most fantastic girls I have ever known.. she is smart.. she is funny… she is caring.. she is enthusiastic.. she is witty.. she is fun-loving.. she is full of confidence.. she is EVERYTHING you would want in a friend.. she is Miss Fenella Ho!! :P

I have known Fen for years now.. hahaa.. to a point I cant even exactly remember how I got to to know her.. neither do I remember when we met.. hahaa.. I remember once saying that our friendship goes all the way back to the Dinaosour age.. hahha.. :P

We have known each other for sooooooo long.. but truly we only gotten to really know one another when we were in Sunway.. you were major part of my life in Sunway.. together with Cindy, Adi Gun, Hiaw, Susanti, Jimmy, Triple C, Poh Gee and many more.. I constantly think and miss each and everyone of you soooo much.. especially on birthdays!

Fen, Thanks for being such a wonderful fren all these years.. You have always been there.. through thick and thin.. through all the dramas in life.. and I’m glad to say that till today.. you are STILL there.. On this beautiful day Fen, I wanna wish you a very happy birthday… I know you’re going through a very hard time right now.. and I am very sorry.. but I want you to try have a good birthday.. You are awesome and you deserve it! May the good Lord bless you richly.. hahaha.. I've been reading toooo much of Kenny sia's blog.. hahaa.. anyways.. Mr.Sia has posted yet another question on his blog.. this time.. he wants to know what are the 5 things that makes a guy/girl gorgeous in the eyes of the other.. Yet again.. there's another bottle of perfume out for grabs... hahaha.. I once again answered to it..

This was my answer:

1) the way he smiles at you like there's no other person in the
room but you.

2) the way he shows his concern over everything that you do.
Eg: when you're sick.. he constantly texts you to see how
you're doing.. making sure you've taken your medicine.

3) when he makes jokes that he knows arent funny but he makes
them anyways just to put a smile on your face.

Kenny sia's latest post discusses the issue of whether it is right for a girl to make the first move.. hahaha.. i find it interesting.. that's something we talk about.. we think about it.. everyone preaches about equality in this modern world.. on how men and women are all equals.. yet again.. when it comes to the matter of the heart.. is it still like tat? are things still equal?

women often their man to be there.. through thick and thin.. that he's the one who's going to protect her.. who's going to be the one she holds on to when the world collapse down on her.. basically.. he is the STRONGER party in the relationship.. but if we're equal.. why cant we be the ones who they lean on? It's as good as asking anyone about their views on househusbands...

Someone's comment on Kenny's blog was pretty interesting.. and I agree strongly in something that was in the comment, "If you see a man you have your eyes on, GO FOR HIM. Do not sit around whining and drowning in your own little shallow pool of delusional hope that someday a prince will come proposing on your door with his white horse. " That's pretty true really.. haaha.. u cant say that u expect the person to acknowledge you.. and hope that he falls head over heels in love with you.. you wont know how he is UNTIL you know who he really is.. and u cant judge without even having a conversation..

I found it interesting.. thus I commented on the blog.. the following was my comment..

Who should approach whom? Guy approach girl? OR girl approach guy? It's an awfully easy question yet it's a difficult question to answer. I'm pretty sure no one would disagree with me when I said we have all been brought to believe that the ONLY right way for this is guy approach girl.. it's something that is unspoken.. the silent rule in a relationship.. but is that how it's suppose to be? In this modern and independent world where men and women are treated as equals.. how should this be any different? Women should be able to plug up the courage and go up there and confront the guy you like.. I know.. it's easier said than done.. but yet again.. if you dont try.. how would you know? Kenny.. Not to say you're wrong when generalising women the way you did in the post.. but then again.. NOT ALL women are like tat.. I for one definitely dont turn a guy down and bitch about him.. yeah.. we talk among gf's but we dont bitch or say that u're a loser.. often than none.. I believe that women are actually flattered that a guy they know or a guy fren asks them out.. they might turn you down.. not because you're below them or that you're not goodlooking.. or for the joy of just turning a guy down.. I think it's more of them believing that it would not work out.. thus they take the initiative to turn the guy down and save themselves a heartache.. yet again.. i'm talking on my perspective.. and it is neither fair to say that all women are like tat.. But I DO strongly agree that women should take the initiative and get to know the guy they fancy... there's no need to pull any stunts whatsoever.. a mere and simple 'hello' will do... get to know him.. who knows.. someone you thought of as your prince charming might very well end up being your living nightmare.. :P hehehe.. so.. yeah.. I say.. there's nothing wrong for the girl to walk up to the guy and take the first step.. some signs we send do NOT display our objectives all that appropriately.. it can either be misinterpreted.. or disregarded.. and at that point.. there's no one else to blame but yourself. :)

Nostalgia

I’ve always thought that I’ve gone through the worst of homesickness after surviving my first month in KL two years ago.. I was wrong.. After not seeing my parents for eight months now.. the desire to hop on the next plane home has never been as strong as these past few weeks.. I guess after being away from home for so long.. nostalgia just hit me. One never truly appreciates what one has until it is either lost or away from it.. I have never miss home this much..

I long to wake up and see my parents.. I long to have dinner with my grandpa.. I long to sit outside at the balcony with dad and chat the night away.. I miss the times when I would go for movies with mom on Sundays then later we’ll go for coffee with dad.. I miss everything that home has to offer.. I miss my family!!

People often say that a child is such a blessing in life.. while I believe that Parents are such blessings in a child’s life.. No one would be in any position they are in now if not for their parents.. Our parents have loved us from the moment they brought us into this world.. giving us what they think is the best for us… never failing to love us… They stand by us no matter what happens.. They love us regardless of who and how we are.. their best gift to us is their undying and unconditional love.. and together with that came a promise of unfailing support.. an unconditional trust..

To me..

They are the ones who hold our hands and lead us through this extraodinary journey called life.

They are the ones who help us in every possible way to make sure we achieve our goals.

They are the ones who laugh with us.. who smile because we smile..

They are the ones who try their best to comfort us.. to make things right when we cry

They are the ones who you know you can lean on for support anytime of the day

They are the ones who would never let anyone bully you

They are the ones who will forever be proud of every single little achievement in your life.

To me, my parents are the best gifts that I can ever ask for..

Summer plans

Summer is coming here in Australia.. I was looking forward to going home for a long long long break.. but now.. plans have changed.. this girl now has to stay here for summer cos she didnt do well for one of her units..

I've had a super stressed and tensed out sem.. Things weren't as smooth sailing as I hope it was.. things changed.. people changed.. but through it all.. life moved on.. this one period I got to see the people who sincerely cared for me here in Australia.. I saw who my frens were.. through it all.. I guess one just learns to grow up.. to mature and take life as it comes. To just pick up the broken pieces and live life to the fullest!! I'm looking at this summer optimistically.. I know it would be a great time.. at the same time it's gonna be lots of hard work.. :) Who knows.. this might very well be one of the best summers in my life, no? ;)

Frens who have left to go home, namely, adeline, jeff, will, jin and arnold.. it's been a great year in Melbourne with u guys around.. u guys have been awesome! Good frens.. and am looking forward to seeing u guys when u guys come back next year.. best of luck through out summer.. and enjoy the hols! Especially with all of your travelling plans! :)

I have exactly SEVEN weeks before I head back to Kuching for the Christmas break.. hehehe.. I'll be home for a month.. then coming back to Melb for the exams.. then will be heading home again for CNY.. hehehe.. peeps.. am looking forward to seeing u guys when i'm home.. hehehe.. Life's complicated

Soo many things have happened in the past two weeks.. Good things and bad things.. My close fren's dad passed away.. I cant imagine how it will feel going through that grief now.. someone so close to your heart isnt there physically anymore.. A fren once said, " you will only experience true heartbreak when your loved ones, someone like your parent passes away"..

Dear, I dont know what to say to you honestly.. I dont know how you feel and it would be a lie if i said i did.. You've always been a strong strong girl.. and I know you will pull through.. Keep your faith in the Lord strong.. you know He will guide you through.. Your dad has not gone far.. he has only gone home to his Maker.. He is now not only your dad in your life.. but he is also your guardian angel.. Stay strong dear.. for yourself, for your family, for your dad.. I'm sooo sorry for your loss dear.. I really am..

Another few more frens are going through tat point where you do not know what to do in relationships.. whether this one person is worth the wait.. whether you should let go.. whether you are making the right choice.. well, all i can say is.. decide.. make up your mind and live to your words.. it maybe difficult.. but then the hurt will go away one day.. and you know it..

Uni has been hectic these past few weeks.. with assignments and all.. but all's good besides that.. Church is great.. frens are awesome.. :) Bottom line, everything is good on my side here in melb.. It was fantastic meeting Derek last week.. it was a great catch up session.. plus awesome food as well.. :) I'm missing my family heaps.. if only my cousins could sit down together all at the same time.. that would be fabulous!! :)

It's been soooo long since I last saw both Jee ning and Ping.. :) It was great finally having our whole girls day out thing.. hahaha.. not exactly girls day out... jee ning's cousin, Jackie came as well.. ahahhaa.. but it was all good fun.. :) We had an... ummm.. interesting conversation, Jackie and I... hahaha.. :P Anyways.. As i sit here in my room here in Melbourne this fine Thursday afternoon.. I had the sudden urge to take out all the cards that were sent to me in the past few months from my dearest family and friends.. :)

As I sat here and re-read the cards, I realised how blessed I truly am.. :) God has always blessed me with the finest things in life.. He gave me the best when He gave me the world's most caring and loving parents and family.. He blessed me abundantly when He placed all my friends especially those close to my heart ( you all know who you are ) into my life..

I guess one only learns to appreciate the love received when you're far from it.. I thank God everyday that you are all part of my life.. You guys have made this journey such a fantastic one!!! Thanks for all your support, love and affection!! I miss you guys lots!!! God Bless!!!

This is definitely one of the best films ever!!! Amazing Grace... It's amazing how one man's determination, his will, his perseverance, his faith.. changed the world.. William Wilberforce, possibly one of the most respected man in history, he changed the world, how?? He was the one who made sure that the Slave Trade was abolished.. To imagine a man of such a young age at that time, was sooooo determine on one issue, which affects the good of mankind.. FIFTEEN years before he saw result.. peeps, ask yourself this one question.. how much time are YOU willing to spend on a matter which you consider close to your heart but is not exactly of a direct influence to you??? William Wilberforce could not stand the issue of men being traded to other men.. when he believes that The Lord Almighty created men to be equals.. Nobody belongs to another man but to God...

I strongly suggest anybody who has yet had a chance to catch this film to go for it.. there will be no regrets what so ever.. you will not walk out of the cinema thinking u have wasted 10 dollars/ringgit.. It is in it's own way sending a message saying for as long as you're determine, you will succeed.. :) God bless!!!

Life is a journey everyone goes through.. whether life turns out to be good or bad.. personally.. i think it's the way we WANT to live life.. at times. Things do not turn out the way we want them to be.. Sometimes we'll sit down and ponder.. and ask ourselves millions of questions.. such as.. if i said yes.. what might the outcome be like??? if i did this back then.. where would i be today??? am i doing the right thing right now??? is this where i want to be??? is he/she worth the wait?? Questions arise in every single thing everyone does.. everyone will often question their decisions about all the issues that they go through.. it's not an easy feeling.. that feeling of confusion, depression.. but yet again.. life moves out no matter what the decision we make eh??? :)

The last two weekends have been very eventful... :) I've been spending lots of time with my classmates.. hahaha... which is really good.. everyone's getting to know each other much better now.. despite the fact that it is near the end of the semester.. :)

Last weekend was spent shopping with Yvonne, Angela, Jeffrey and William. We went to the DFO at Essedon Airport... Things were not exactly cheap.. but they were reasonable.. :) It was a good day for me.. great shopping company... good laughter.. good food.. it was just plain AWESOME!!! :D

Last night.. we had two additional people joining us.. Jin and Wy Keith.. :) We went for dinner at Ying Thai, Lygon.. ice cream at Freddo's.. drinks at MAX BRENNER... hahahah.. yuuuppppssss.. lotssss of GOOD food.. hahahha.. :P But it was great.. had a fantastic time.. everyone got to know each other sooo much better... there were lots of jokes.. lots of laughter.. it was a fantastic bonding session.. :) Ohhh.. Ping and Jee Ning came to join us for drinks at Max Brenner too!! :D Guys.. We SHOULD do this more often!!! And the next time.. NO more max brenner!!! I wanna go to KOKO BLACK!! :P

Today.. no.. i mean yesterday.. 27th April was my birthday.. :) Initially I expected my birthday to be quiet and not expecting lots of people to remember.. but lots did actually.. hehehe.. I received many many wishes and am glad to know that even though I am sooo far away from home.. I still have sooo many frens who care for me in Malaysia.. and sooooooo many lovely frens here in Australia.. Big thanks to everybody who remembered!!! :)

Well.. I was at class yesterday actually.. for SIX hours!! hahaha.. spent a big portion of the time disscussing my marketing assignment.. eheheheh.. anyways.. met up with Jee Ning and Ping in the city.. the initial plan was to JUST go to koko black at Lygon Street.. but then.. hahaha.. we ended up going to dinner at Ying Thai THEN Koko Black!!! Hahaha.. gosh!!! We ate soooooooooo much!!! hahahah..On the way back from the city, I bumped into a group of drunken people.. kids really.. they were barely 16.. cursing throughout the train trip and eventually getting into a fight.. no suprise there.. but no worries.. i'm fine.. but it was scary though.. haihzz. .. what an experience.. hehehe... :)

Got back to Caufield and was suppose to meet Yvonne and Hui Ling for dinner.. At Mama Dukes.. mana tahu.. kah wei, Jessica and David were there as well.. hehehe.. was quite a suprise.. had quite a good time with them.. hehehe..Then it was SUPRISE time.. hahaha.. this was hilarious.. it was sooooooooooo obvious from the begining.. hahaha.. david asked me to go and play cards.. when he knows that I DONT play.. but he kept on insisting.. hahaa.. then everyone suddenly started insisting.. hahaha..but it was really sweeet of them.. hehehehe... he told me.. next time he's going to tell me that we're going to play UNO so that i wont be suspicious.. hahaha.. But it was really sweeeeeeeet!!! hehehhe..

To top it all.. I received tonnes of sms and messages via friendster and facebook.. especially from frens from Sunway, and also Kuching.. Thanks to my family too.. who called.. emailed.. heheheh.. thanks for the wishes everyone.. be it early, on time or belated.. :) Ohhhh.. Today was a very very good day for me.. :) I had tonnes of fun!!! hehehe.. First.. I was actually suppose to go yum char then shopping with frens in the morning.. but there were last minute changes and we decided not to go yum char.. hehehe.. but then my classmates called.. why??? to ask me whether i wanted to go YUM CHAR with them or not!!! heheheh!!! Had a blast with classmates... hehhe.. we never made any effort previously to go out for meals or gatherings.. and am sure we all had fun... hehehe.. :) Then, went to Southern Cross to meet frens.. hehehe.. did a bit of shopping.. :)

Then, it was the SEA fest.. South East Asian Festival.. hehehe.. organised by the OCF of Caufield Campus.. it was a blast.. it was more like a social event really.. hehehe.. we actually learned how to dance.. ehehehe.. it was fun.. met quite a few nice people.. hehe.. and found out one of kwan chien's secret as well!!! Muahahahahaha!!! :P

How dangerous can the world get???

Gosh.. I was soooooooo suprise when mom called yesterday and told me that shooting happened at Virginia Tech.. At first, I thought only a small number of people were killed/injured.. but while on the train back from the city last night.. I was reading the newspaper and there were THIRTY THREE people killed!!! Gosh.. 33!!! Imagine the loss... the mourning.. the grief the family of these victims are feeling right now..

Hey.. nobody expected anything to happen.. it was just a normal day for everyone.. then out of no where u get this guy coming into your classroom and randomly shooting everyone.. gosh.. what's the world turned out to be??? Is this what we can expect all the time??? Is this just the way it's gonna be in the future?????

People.. keep these injured victims and the family of the deceased victims in your prayers.. most importantly.. pray that the world is not going to get even more violent than it already is..

There will always be those days when one would just wish that they were just at home.. Being a student studying abroad.. I guess this is one feeling we would always experience.. when you look outside and the sun’s gone.. the cloud’s gloomy.. you just wish you were at home.. when you have assignments or exams coming up.. you just wanna be at home.. when it’s the holidays now.. you just wanna be at home.. one would not appreciate their family as much until they leave home and are on their own.. it’s not a fantastic experience.. but hey.. that’s life isn’t it??? Not everything comes easily in life.. The homesickness will always be there.. no matter what.. and personally I think that is a good thing.. it at least shows that although I am abroad I am still very much a home bound girl.. I miss my family.. and am definitely counting down the days till I get to see them end of this year!!!!

I started off the Easter break with a pot luck dinner hosted by friends.. hehhee.. it was good fun.. we had bah kut teh.. after sooooo long.. and too much dessert.. hehehe... after dinner.. we played MAH JONG!!!! hahaha.. trust me.. am not anywhere near good at it.. it was my first time.. but it was interesting.. hehehe.. :P

Frens and I went off shopping on saturday.. it was good fun... lots of bonding time.. which was really good.. :)

On Sunday.. Kah Wei, Yuyee and I decided to go to the planet shakers Church since it was Easter.. hehehe.. it was a good service :)

Monday.. 300!!! hahaha...
We.. well.. more of me.. hehehe.. decided to go down to the IMAX museum to watch 300 for one simple reason.. i thought it was going to be a 3D version.. hahaha.. but too bad,, it wasnt.. it was just an extremely big screen.. toooooooooo big i must say.. hahaha.,, but we had fun.. lots of laugh.. lots of food.. as usual.. hehehehe.. :P
Later, Yvonne mentioned that there was an Easter sale going on at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.. so we headed there.. the boys were thinking of getting DVDs.. but it turned out they were all really old films.. hehehe.. i on the other hand got myself 4 books.. it was a fantastic deal!!! At only 3 dollars each!!! Yuppeeee!!! :P

All and all.. the break has been quite enjoyable sooo far... but shall need to start with my assignment and studying.. hahaha.. mid term coming up!!! Urgh!!!! Wish me luck people!!! :) Anyways.. i've a few photos taken from the past few days.. enjoy... :) Happy easter everyone!!!

Went out with classmates last night.. was suppose to meet my tutors for drinks at the uni bar, but apparently.. the bar closed by 6.. hahaha.. so we all decided to go down to South Yarra for dinner at the Pacific Restaurant.. it was packed.. but hey.. it was fun.. it was a great bonding sessiong last night.. :) Happy easter everyone!!! Urgh!!! After arriving here for 3 weeks.. I have finally come down to one conclusion.. uni life is HECTIC!!! One thing about monash is.. it's located not so far away from the city yet somehow the city just looks soooo far away... look i dont know what am i crapping about here.. i just spent a sleepless night trying to finish my assignment.. gosh.. I didnt even go down to the city last weekend.. plus.. i didnt go for the moomba festival!!! I havent seen Ping yet.. I havent seen Melissa yet!!! There soooo many places I wanna go but I havent.. why? Cos uni life is just sooooo HECTIC!!!! Urgh!!!!!!!!! :(

hey people!!! How's everyone doing??? good i hope... yups... am now in melbourne!! haha.. caufield monash is pratically like chinatown.. soooooooooo many asians around... hehe.. i live not very far from uni... about 15 mins walk away... people here are generally friendly.. hehe.. no complaints about that.. i[ve got nice housemates but i still miss cindy, susan and khomet the most!!! Ummmm... what else??? Parents left for home two days ago.. thought i'd be really homesick like back when i first started in KL... but all's well.. it took me only one day ti feel comfortable.. hehehe.. i went to the planet shakers church as welll.. here in the city.. it was not what i tot a church servicewas like... but hey.. it was fun!!! hehe.. :P m trying not to think bout going home too much.. i mean.. hey i dont even know when am i going back end of this year.. but all's great over all... hehe.. am meeting new people... so am settling down pretty well.. i gues... :)

SORRY for not been updating... hehe.. i've been reminded a couple of times to update.. but apparently have nothing much to blog about.. hehe.. anyways.. i did something pretty random today... hehe.. as all of u in kch should know.. the weather here has gone pretty crazy.. hehe.. it's sunny for like 10 mins and it's pouring for the next hour also!! anyways... i thought since it was sunny this evening i should wash my car ( given i havent done so for 2 weeks now!! ).. in the midst of getting ready ( i already vacummed my car and was preparing to splash water onto it ).. the most unexpected thing happen.. it started to rain!! haihzz.. and it was still sooooo bloody sunny!! My grandma was shouting for me to come in.. but then i came out with a fantastic idea.. hehe.. why not just soap my car under the rain and let the rain water cleanse it off??? hehe.. so imagine.. my kakak and i each took an umbrella.. armed with a cloth and a bucket of soap water each and started washing the car... hehe.. mana tahu.. half way through.. the rain stopped and we ended up needing to get water to rinsed the car after all!! haha!!!

life can just be sooooooo short.. today.. my dad went to a neighbour's funeral.. she was 91 years old.. her husband is 93 years old.. my dad was telling me how heartbreaking a sight it was to see such an old man lose his best fren, his soulmate.. at such an old age.. to imagine tat they have been living together for the last 70 odd years together.. and suddenly.. she's GONE..

A lesson in life we all must learn.. Cherish those around us.. love them.. tell them tat u love them.. at times.. tomorrow can just be too late.. so people not only love and cherish those around u.. but make sure u live ur life to the fullest!! Do things u wanna do NOW!! dont WAIT!!!

Birthdays.. It happens only once a year.. for the kids… this can most likely be their FAVOURITE time of the year ever!!! For those of my age, ( ahem.. ahem.. young adults should I put it?? :P) this is one time of the year we all dread.. why?? We’re getting older!!!

For myself, I shall be turning 20 in April.. trust me.. am not looking forward to it!! Haha.. am finally officially saying goodbye to my teen years and it’s a big hello to adulthood ( in a way )..

I know u’ve gone through a lot in the past year.. but am sure all those experiences have only turned u to a more matured, responsible and caring young man.. Happy new year everyone!!! Yup.. it’s the beginning of yet another new year!!! 365 days have gone by yet in a flash!! For some.. this may just be another ordinary day.. but yet for others.. this maybe the beginning of a new journey.. I, myself am categorized in the latter..

What is to expect for me in this new year?? Well, for those who know me well.. everyone should know by now that I’ll be off to aus next month.. uhuh.. this girl’s going to uni!! Hahaha.. it’s exciting yet scary.. haha.. I don’t know what to expect.. yet I tell myself.. hey.. no worries.. be happy.. haha!!! All I can say is am hoping for the very best this year..

Alright.. enough talk bout myself.. it’s wishing time ( hold on.. I think there’s such a phrase right??? ) !! Well, to all my frens.. I wish u all the very best in ur studies! For those who are off to Aus in feb,, good luck!! I know we can all pull through uni life together!! For those who are already in the UK.. keep up the good work guys!! I know u guys are studying ur butts off over there.. but at the end of the day.. we all know it’s worthwhile..

I have a dream... sze shyang..

The title must sound weird now doesnt it?? Well, if all of u are wondering who sze shyang is.. my answer is.. he's a kuching boy.. who happens to be my senior and now also draws comics which if I have not mistaken are published weekly in the Sin Chou newspaper.. Today, however, this young chap of 21 has launched his first comic book, the title?? I have a dream...

To me, It's not about how extraodinary the comics really are.. but it's how motivated and how much one at such a young age could actually do.. when I heard about this book, frankly I was really suprise.. I knew that he was artistically talented but I did not see this coming.. I was curious with what to expect from his book and yet at the same time happy for him..

Today when the launching was done at Riversude complex, the crowd that showed up was pretty exceptional.,. they were the public, reporters, yet most importantly, there were lots of frens.. I think at a time like this, u could really tell who ur frens really are.. i'm not talking bout myself here now people.. but i mean.. u could see the people who really cared enough to come and support him.. I saw seniors who i have not seen in years but who as i could recall were back then his really close fren and now I believe they still are.. I could see the bond between siblings when I saw both Sze jia and his sis there to help..

In today's rapidly changing world, one thing that's gradually missing isnt wealth.. or anything else.. but the warmth and caring spirit people have for one another.. This is greatly proven by the wars that are happening globally.. The launching of this book not only showed me how one could reach for the stars if only they would try.. but it showed me the warmth and caring spirit that I thought has already gone.. it too encouraged me that if only one has the spirit and determination.. everything is possible!!

Once again sze shyang, congratulations on your success!!! The book is fantastic!! If anyone has the chance to get hold of a copy.. please do so!! :)

Sometimes when u think that u actually know someone.. u might have mistaken.. I know it’s not good to judge someone or something by listening or knowing one side of the story only.. but sometimes I truly feel that u just don’t care.. u don’t want to know what’s going on.. I know u’re busy but at least take some time out and care bout those who care bout u.. sometimes unintentionally u just really hurt those that truly care about u.. there has been soooooo many times I’ve seen it happen..

Although now… it’s been ages since I’ve last met u.. but I just want u to know that u’ll always be close to heart.. u’ll always be a good friend to me.. no matter if I am to u or not.. I cherish the times we all spent together in the past.. take good care my friend….

Haihzzzz... am now actually at the car centre servicing my car.. hehehe.. am actually quite impressed with the service provided here.. :) Anyways, something real dumb happened to me few nights ago.. some of u here might know bout it.. ahahah.. this is especially for my frens from sunway only.. :) Gosh, i was pretty much in tears when i saw the photos we all took in th past 18 months.. hehehe.. Those will always be one of the BEST times i'll ever have in my life.. i dare say that u guys will be frens i will always cherish and hopefully we'll keep in touch and stay frens for as long as possible.. i kept thinking of those times when we all shared so much laughter, when we argued, when it was someone's birthday.. we always treated one another's problem as our own.. we were a huge family and it was a wonderful feeling!!! Thank you guys for everything.. i wouldn't know what to do in KL if it werent for anyone of u... I really miss u guys lots!!! Especially Poh Gee, Fen, cindy, how, triple c, jian wen, darren, han ping, caleb, sze leu, angeline, yeong, pei yee, euph, amanda, eva... just to name a few.. :) Take good care guuys!!! Remember that i'm always here ya!!! Bug hugz and best wishes from me always!!! :)

it's just amazing how 20 months ago i started my a levels course in sunway.. now.. am home.. waiting to go off for uni.. while some of my course mates are already in the UK.. congrats to all.. best of luck to all.. namely, pei yee, yeong, euphrasia, darren, ai yee, nadia, poh gee... and sooooooooooo many more of my coursemates... best of luck in all future endeavours.. i know u guys can handle all the pressure and will excel as u normally do.. :) Missing u guys lots!!!
